This is the post from a friend of mine on DA, *Persnicketese. She asked people to spread the word and sign the petition.

First off I'm bringing this to light in case some of you may not know. ~Hot-Sauce-Vixxen put this in her journal and thus I am spreading the news. The African country of Uganda is enacting a new law that would take away human rights to Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgendered people. As part of their new Anti-LGBT bill this includes:
* A 7 year jail sentence for consenting adults who have LGBT sex
* A life sentence for people in same-sex marriages
* Extradition and prosecution of LGBT Ugandans living abroad
* Jail for anyone who doesn't report suspected LGBT activity within 24 hours

I cannot think of words to describe how angry I am at this travesty. There is a petition going around to help bring to light this hate mongering bill and maybe to show that the world will not stand for this shit.

I've already signed the petition and I ask that you do too. Another thing you can do is talk to your Congressmen and women and tell them to stand up against this and make it known that the people of the US will not stand for this.

This makes me angry. No one should be denied any type of right, whether they're gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, straight, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, black, white, Asian, terminally ill, completely healthy, etc. This needs to be stopped somehow. Every signature counts.

I ruined Christmas.

My sister was taking Delilah out. She left the main front door open, and the screen door (even though we have a glass window on it now for the winter) doesn't keep cold out. My mother told me to shut the main door. I did. Three seconds, later, my sister comes in and does her usual hissy fit stuff, which pisses me off, (because her whining woke me up in the first place) so I threw a stuffed animal dog toy thing at her. She flips and throws it back at me, then my mother says we're not going out today to go Christmas shopping for friends because my sister's screaming gave her a headache.

I just kinda sighed and gave up. I sat there and played tug of war with Mac, and all the while, my sister is screaming and carrying on and blaming me (I already knew it was my fault. I don't need to hear her 24/7). I get pissed, and then go in the shower. I don't know how long I was in there, I didn't really want to come out because I didn't want to go out and have to hear her screaming (which gradually grew louder). Eventually, I came out of the shower and walked out to the living room, where my mother was crying and my sister was still screaming like a freaking banshee.

Then she said we weren't going shopping for friends at all and she wasn't bothering with Christmas and then went in her room.

I don't give a crap if I don't get anything. I ruined Christmas, and I can't get anything for my friends. I'm a terrible person. I mean, sure, I didn't have much Christmas money to use for them anyway, but it was better than the huge, obese nothing they're getting this year! So now I'm crying because I feel bad because I can't get anything for my friends and pets, who mean more to me than anything. This really sucks. I wanted to get them all something so badly.
